Basically any beverage that contains alcohol is bad for Gout. Alcohol causes the kidneys to excrete alcohol instead of excreting uric acid which increases the amount of uric acid in the blood, triggering Gout attacks. Studies have found that compared with non liquor drinkers, those who drank two or more servings of liquor per day suffered a 1.6 times greater risk of gout.
