2. Disodium Guanylate – GMP

Disodium Guanylate – GMP (E627) is often present along with MSG. It is commonly derived from dried fish or seaweed and is used as a flavor enhancer like MSG. Consuming guanylates should be avoided by people with gout as they are metabolized into purines. You may also find that it’s labeled as guanosine monophosphate, calcium guanylate, guanylic acid E626, dipotassium guanylate and potassium guanylate.
Foods that contain them Disodium Guanylate are: pasta products, processed vegetables, dairy products, processed fruits, candies, breakfast cereals, processed meat or poultry, fish products, egg products, condiments, alcoholic beverages, energy or sports drinks, soups and sauces
